I got a 97/100 on my final paper for Media, Culture, and Society. This also happens to be the paper worth one-third of my entire grade that I did entirely in one night.

SUPER WIN. Grade for Media, Culture, and Society = A!

I got a 79 on the Japanese final (poop. That’s what I get for not studying), which is a B+ for the semester (an 87 is a B+, right?) I have no idea how I did on my Theatre and Org Comm finals, though. It would sure be nice if Wanda and Alan put grades up on Blackboard. *whine whine* :P I’m still a little worried about the outcome of my Org Comm final (it sucked. I think I did okay but it still sucked), but knowing that I aced the paper is one less headache I have to deal with. 

In other news, everyone’s going home and it’s super sad. My roommate moved out today, and I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to her! She’s still on campus, but I doubt I’ll see her before I leave. Tomorrow I’m packing up what’s left of my stuff and heading over to MIT - my parents are in the Caribbean and thus, cannot pick me up from college. So, I’ll be staying in my sister’s room for a week-ish until May 8th. In the meantime, I’ll hopefully be having fun with Kyle, Molly, Sasha, and whoever else is still stuck in Boston.

Sasha, lemme know if you still want to go on an MFA date!

I am not a freshman anymore.

Well, granted I pass all my classes, which I hopefully will.

But over the past eight months, so many experiences (both good and bad) have been crammed into such a short amount of time. In just two semesters, I have

- Begun studying Japanese, a dream of mine

- Begun working toward a communication major

- Started working toward a theatre minor

- Been dumped for the first time, which I now realize is a good thing

- Lived in a beautiful, brand-new dorm

- Had the worst roommate in the world, which has given me lots of great stories

- Been in two fabulous TGWW productions: The Wild Party and Seussical

- Traveled to New York twice over winter break with friends: saw Ragtime the first time, went to the MoMA the second

- Went to the MFA (hopefully I’ll go again soon)

- Seen the beginning of the new decade

- Had a biracial roommate from Nigeria

- Joined choir, gotten into chambers, and will be the new alto section leader in the fall

- Been to four college parties (yes, only four, but they were all ridiculous)

- Had a silly boy crush

- Went to the Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science

- Seen a lot of movies for the first time, including Inglorious Basterds, 500 Days of Summer, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the entire Matrix series, Tron, Plan 9 From Outer Space, and a shitton of Monty Python’s Flying Circus

- Gotten closer to my sister, who lives finally lives in the same town(ish) as me for the first time in two years

- Gotten to see Sasha for the first time in two years!

- Made dozens of incredible friends, each with their own exciting life story to tell!

I’m going to miss Northeastern so goddamn much over the summer, but I’m excited to hang out with my favorite WHS people again. I’ve missed them so much and I can’t wait to catch up. But four months without my NEU kids??? What will I do?!?!?!

Today was filled with 5 1/2 straight hours of Seuss, followed by Chinese takeout and Brotherhood with Jason and Lindsey. Since the new episode only lasted about 20 minutes, we started watching some of the early episodes from the original series, which was such a throwback to 8th and 9th grade. Mindfuck.

And then my friend Kyle posted YouTube videos of Wild Party last semester to his Facebook, and I realized that it seems like such a long time ago even though we only did the show last November. And THEN, because he’s in love with Once On This Island, he posted another video of the original cast at the Tony’s. It made remember that time I played a black chick who turned into a tree and it made me miss senior year like CRAZY. I am currently listening to the soundtrack and it makes me so ridiculously happy and sad and nostalgic all at the same time. I can’t believe that this time last year, Once On This Island was already over (if I recall correctly…).

Also, totally off-topic…all my cutesy couple-y friends make me reeeeeally miss being in a relationship.

After the No Limits Dance recital that I attended with the lovely Tessa, Avi, and Kyle, I rushed back to IV for Jason’s Monty Python’s Flying Circus Get-Together Extravaganza.

Z*** was there, and I sat next to him, and we all talked and laughed until 4 in the morning. He pretty much recounted to us the story of his entire childhood, which was filled with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh and video games. 

So goddamn cute. :DDDDD It pretty much made up for the week and a half that I didn’t see him at all.

Also, one-liner of the night: “On the topic of microwaveable dildos…”

I really hope I have enough room in my schedule to do this.
